CooperaTiVa TV series is a completely new and exciting reality TV show designed by three partners: Academy for Educational Development (AED), NGO Fractal and Partes Production. The series showing Inter-ethnic teams of Kosovo and Serbian youth working together to tackle specific challenges.
CooperaTiVa is eight-episode reality TV show filmed from June to September 2008 in locations throughout Montenegro and broadcasted on TV B92 in Serbia and RTK in Kosovo during November and December 2008. During each episode, two inter-ethnic teams completed a “challenge”— making video material to promote local municipalities, facing the tough but hilarious rigors of farm life, completing a treasure hunt, and many others. At the end of each episode, a rotating jury of celebrity judges determinate the winning team by judging how the teams worked together and the quality of the final product. Professional mediator also provides feedback about performance of teams (team work, conflicts among the teams).
CooperaTiVa TV Series’ objectives are to improve inter-community understanding, dialogue, and cooperation, especially among youth of different ethnicities in Serbia and Kosovo to enable young people to develop both leadership skills and the ability to work in a team, as well to promote a cooperative communication model that could be applied in day to day life in our societies.
