| The first in a series of public debates in Prijepolje, Bujanovac and Subotica |

Within the project Regional civil society actions for raising awareness and tolerance of public debates were held in Prijepolje 19/10/2009., Bujanovac 20.10. 2009th and Subotica 22.10.2009. on the position of minority communities. The organization Citizens Fractal, the Municipal Assembly: Prijepolje, Bujanovac and Subotica were good hosts a large number of interested citizens and representatives of civil society. Debates aimed to identify the citizens with the problems faced by minority communities, which would be at a later stage of the project presented by government institutions. We have in minde that there are still challenges in the field of raising awareness of minority rights, their participation in decision making and overall progress in terms of cooperation and respect for community rights and the principles of equality and nondiscrimination. |
